The WILKERSON F28-04-SH00B is a general purpose compressed air filter designed to remove particulate contamination from compressed air lines in industrial and commercial pneumatic systems. Part of the Series 28 modular filter lineup, this unit flows up to 120 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) through a 1/2 inch NPT port. The filter media is sintered polyethylene, which captures solid contaminants before they reach downstream equipment. An automatic drain eliminates the need for manual bowl service on regular intervals. A built-in sight glass allows technicians to monitor bowl levels without disassembly. Licensed pipefitters, pneumatic system technicians, and mechanical contractors typically specify and install this unit.
The F28-04-SH00B is suited for point-of-use or line filtration in compressed air distribution systems serving pneumatic tools, actuators, valves, and instrumentation. Its modular connection design allows it to be combined with other Series 28 components such as regulators and lubricators to build a filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) assembly. The 1/2 inch NPT end connections are compatible with standard iron or copper compressed air piping and manifold systems commonly found in light manufacturing, maintenance shops, and process facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and modular component for Series 28 compressed air filter, regulator, and lubricator assemblies using 1/2 inch NPT ported connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or pneumatic systems technician. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply before installing or servicing this filter. Ensure flow direction matches the arrow marked on the body, and apply thread sealant rated for compressed air service on all NPT connections. Verify downstream equipment pressure and flow requirements are within the rated capacity of this unit before placing the system back in service.
