The WIKA 9831954 is a glycerine-filled analog pressure gauge built for demanding industrial and mechanical service applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a lower-mount 1/4-inch threaded connection, making it a standard choice for panel or pipe-mounted installations. The stainless steel case and stainless steel wetted parts provide corrosion resistance in wet, chemical, or outdoor environments. Glycerine fill dampens pointer vibration and protects internal components against pressure spikes and pulsation. Accuracy is rated at plus or minus 2-1/2 percent of full scale across a range of 0 to 1000 psi. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics typically install this type of gauge on pressurized systems where a readable, durable indicator is required at the point of measurement.
This gauge is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air lines, hydraulic circuits, and general industrial process piping where pressures up to 1000 psi must be monitored continuously. The glycerine fill makes it well adapted for pump discharge lines and other high-vibration installations where a dry gauge would lose accuracy or fail prematurely. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic following applicable IPC or system-specific codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing an existing gauge or threading in the new one. Use an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the male threads and tighten to the fitting manufacturer's specification using a wrench on the gauge hex, not on the dial case. Avoid overtightening, which can distort the lower connector and affect calibration.
