The WIKA 9831644 is a liquid-filled analog pressure gauge designed for industrial and mechanical service applications requiring accurate, steady pressure readings. It features a 4-inch diameter dial with a 0 to 400 psi range and carries an accuracy rating of 1 percent of full scale. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance in wet or harsh environments. Liquid filling dampens pointer vibration and protects internal components from pressure spikes, making this gauge well-suited for pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, and process piping. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors install this type of instrument as part of system monitoring and commissioning work.
This gauge mounts via a lower back connection using a 1/2-inch thread fitting, positioning it flush against a panel or pipe manifold with the dial face oriented outward for easy reading. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial mechanical rooms, industrial process lines, and equipment skids where continuous pressure monitoring is needed. The liquid-filled design is particularly useful in high-vibration environments such as compressor rooms or pump stations where dry gauges would exhibit excessive pointer flutter.
Designed as a direct-install pressure gauge for industrial and mechanical piping systems using a 1/2-inch lower back threaded connection. No specific OEM model compatibility was provided with this product.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 gauge installation guidelines. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before threading the gauge into the port. Use appropriate thread sealant on the 1/2-inch male connection and tighten to fitting manufacturer specifications using a wrench on the gauge's hex fitting, not on the case body. Do not exceed the rated maximum pressure of 400 psi.
