The WIKA 31090A004G4 is a bimetal dial thermometer designed for temperature measurement in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial process applications. It covers a range of 0 to 140 degrees F (negative 20 to 60 degrees C) and delivers an accuracy rating of 1.0 percent of full scale. The housing is constructed from 18-8 stainless steel, making it well-suited for environments where corrosion resistance matters. The bottom-connected mount positions the 9-inch stem inline with the dial face, which is the standard configuration for insertion into pipe wells, tanks, and process lines. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters are the primary installers of this instrument.
This thermometer is intended for use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, hydronic heating and cooling loops, domestic hot water systems, and similar fluid process lines where moderate temperature monitoring is required. The 0 to 140 degrees F range makes it appropriate for chilled water supply and return lines, domestic cold and hot water piping, and low-temperature process applications. The bottom-connection configuration is commonly installed through a threaded immersion well or directly into a tapped pipe fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation bimetal dial thermometer for use with standard threaded immersion wells and tapped pipe fittings in residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local mechanical codes. Shut off and depressurize the system before installing or removing the thermometer. Use a properly sized immersion well when inserting into pressurized lines to allow for future service without draining the system. Do not over-torque the connection fitting, and verify the stem length is appropriate for the pipe or vessel diameter before installation.
