The WIHA 33443 is a 5 mm insulated T-handle hex key designed for fastener-driving applications where electrical safety is required. The T-handle arm configuration provides high torque input with comfortable grip control, making it well suited for repetitive or confined-space fastening. The blade is manufactured from Chrome Vanadium Molybdenum steel for durability and resistance to wear. At 182 mm overall length with a 150 mm blade, this key is rated to EN/IEC 60900 and VDE 0682/Part 201 standards, qualifying it for live-work applications up to 1,000 volts AC. The red and yellow handle coloring follows the IEC insulation identification convention recognized by electrical trades.
This hex key is used by licensed electricians and instrumentation technicians working on energized or potentially energized equipment where NFPA 70E arc flash and shock protection requirements apply. The T-handle form factor suits panel assembly, motor terminal work, switchgear fastening, and similar tasks where a standard L-key provides insufficient torque or grip. It is equally applicable in commercial and industrial settings where insulated hand tools are specified by the job safety plan or facility lockout/tagout procedure.
Designed as an OEM-style insulated hex key for use with 5 mm metric hex fasteners on electrical panels, enclosures, and equipment where insulated tooling is required by safety standards.
This tool is intended for use by qualified electricians following applicable NFPA 70E safe work practices. Inspect the insulation for cracks, cuts, or damage before each use on energized equipment — a damaged insulating layer removes the protective rating. Do not use solvents or abrasives that degrade the insulation coating. When working near energized conductors, follow all facility lockout/tagout and arc flash boundary procedures regardless of tool insulation rating.
