The WIHA 21050 is a single-end, 6-point offset box end wrench rated for insulated electrical work. The head is offset at 15 degrees to provide clearance when working in tight or recessed fastener locations. Sized at 9/16 inch, the wrench measures 194 mm overall length and is built from chromium-vanadium steel for strength and durability. The insulated construction meets multiple safety standards including CSA, EN/IEC 60900, ASTM F1505, and NFPA-70E, making it appropriate for energized electrical service work where shock protection is required. It is suited for electricians and maintenance technicians working in environments where contact with live conductors is a risk.
This wrench is intended for use in electrical trade applications where insulated tooling is mandated by code or jobsite safety policy. The 15-degree head offset provides mechanical advantage and clearance in panel boxes, switchgear, motor control centers, and other enclosures where a straight wrench cannot seat properly. The 6-point box end design reduces the chance of fastener rounding compared to open-end or 12-point configurations, which is important when working on older or torqued hardware.
Designed as an OEM-style insulated box end wrench for use by electricians and maintenance technicians on 9/16 inch fasteners in applications requiring compliance with NFPA-70E or EN/IEC 60900 insulated tool standards.
This tool is intended for use by qualified electricians performing work on or near energized electrical equipment in compliance with applicable electrical codes including NFPA-70E. Always verify the insulation is free of cuts, cracks, or damage before use on energized systems. De-energize and lock out equipment whenever possible before applying any wrench to electrical enclosure hardware. Do not use this wrench to apply impact force or as a pry bar, as damage to the insulation layer may compromise its rated protection.
