The WI-TEK wi-iotbox01 is an industrial M2M LTE gateway designed for machine-to-machine and IoT applications across a wide range of deployment environments. It provides cellular LTE connectivity along with DI/DO, RS485, and Modbus interfaces, giving field technicians a single device that handles data acquisition, protocol conversion, and remote management. The unit supports DIN-Rail mounting for clean integration into control panels and electrical enclosures. Network administrators and industrial automation technicians are the primary installers. Its consolidated feature set allows single-deployment rollouts without additional interface hardware.
The wi-iotbox01 suits industrial and commercial environments where wired network infrastructure is unavailable or impractical. Typical applications include remote monitoring of HVAC systems, pump stations, electrical panels, and utility metering installations. The DI/DO ports support discrete sensor and actuator wiring, while the RS485 and Modbus interfaces connect to PLCs, variable frequency drives, meters, and other serial-bus field devices. It is well suited for distributed site deployments where a cellular uplink replaces a local area network connection.
Designed as an OEM-style industrial gateway for M2M and IoT applications requiring LTE cellular connectivity with RS485 and Modbus field-device integration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified network technician or industrial automation professional familiar with cellular gateway configuration and serial-bus wiring practices. De-energize the control panel and disconnect all field wiring before mounting or removing the unit. DIN-Rail mounting should comply with the enclosure manufacturer guidelines and applicable electrical codes. Verify LTE carrier SIM provisioning and APN settings before commissioning the device on the cellular network.
