The WHITE-RODGERS h06e036s1 is a replacement thermocouple designed for standing pilot ignition systems fueled by natural gas or LP. The thermocouple joins two dissimilar metals to generate a small millivolt signal, between 18 and 30 millivolts, which the ignition control system reads to confirm the pilot flame is present. The stainless steel sensing element withstands hot junction temperatures up to 1,450 degrees F and cold junction temperatures up to 800 degrees F. At 36 inches in cable length, it fits a wide range of residential and light commercial heating appliances. A universal adapter fitting is included to simplify installation across multiple connection types. Licensed HVAC technicians and gas appliance service pros are the primary installers.
This thermocouple is suited for standing pilot gas appliances including furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and wall heaters operating on natural gas or LP. It is compatible with the 1980, H06E, K19, and Q34A series appliance platforms. The threaded process connection measures 11/32 inches and accepts the included universal adapter fitting for flexible fitment across OEM configurations from Honeywell, Johnson, Robershaw, and White-Rodgers equipment.
Compatible with appliances in the 1980, H06E, K19, and Q34A series. Serves as an OEM-style replacement for thermocouples originally supplied by Honeywell, Johnson, Robershaw, and White-Rodgers on standing pilot gas appliances.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified gas appliance service professional. Shut off the gas supply and allow the appliance to cool completely before removing the existing thermocouple. Hand-tighten the threaded connection first, then snug with a wrench — do not overtighten the 11/32-inch fitting. Verify pilot flame engulfs the thermocouple tip and that the control holds the gas valve open after installation, per the appliance manufacturer service instructions and applicable local gas codes.
