The WHITE-RODGERS 200rb 3t4vlc is a 2-way refrigerant solenoid valve designed to control the flow of refrigerant gas or liquid in HVAC and refrigeration systems. Built around a piston-operated design with a normally closed (1NC) configuration, this valve remains closed when de-energized and opens on demand, making it well-suited for liquid line, suction line, and hot gas bypass applications. The 1/2-inch ODF end connections simplify brazing into copper refrigerant circuits. Softgoods are PTFE, which offers broad chemical compatibility with common refrigerants. Rated to 680 psi and 250 degrees F, this valve handles the operating conditions found in both light commercial and residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Licensed HVAC and refrigeration technicians are the primary installers.
This valve fits into refrigeration and air conditioning applications where automated refrigerant flow control is required. The 200RB Series is a piston-operated line intended for gas and liquid refrigerant media. The 3/16-inch port and 1/2-inch nominal ODF size are suited for systems using copper tubing in that size range. Typical install scenarios include multi-circuit refrigeration systems, split-system AC liquid lines, and heat pump applications where solenoid-controlled refrigerant switching is part of the system design.
Designed as an OEM-style refrigerant solenoid valve for use in residential and light commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems requiring 1/2-inch ODF solenoid valve connections in gas or liquid refrigerant lines.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician following applicable local codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Recover refrigerant and verify the system is fully depressurized before cutting into any refrigerant circuit. Use proper brazing technique and flow nitrogen through the line during brazing to prevent oxide scale formation inside the valve body. Verify coil voltage matches the control circuit before energizing the valve.
