The WHITE-RODGERS 200rb 3t3vlc is a 2-way refrigerant solenoid valve designed for controlling the flow of refrigerant gas or liquid in HVAC and refrigeration systems. Part of the 200RB Series, this piston-operated valve features a 3/8 inch nominal ODF (outside diameter flared) connection and carries a pressure rating of 680 psig. The 1NC (normally closed) standard configuration holds the valve closed when de-energized and opens on demand. PTFE softgoods provide chemical compatibility with common refrigerants, and the 250 degrees F temperature rating supports a wide range of system operating conditions. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers of this valve.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems where precise refrigerant flow control is required. Typical applications include liquid line and suction line solenoid service in split systems, condensing units, walk-in cooler circuits, and similar refrigerant piping layouts. The ODF end style is compatible with standard copper tubing used throughout these installations. The gas and liquid media rating makes it appropriate for both liquid-phase and vapor-phase refrigerant applications.
Designed as an OEM-style refrigerant solenoid valve for use in residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems requiring a 3/8 inch ODF, piston-operated, normally closed 2-way solenoid valve in the 200RB Series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Recover all refrigerant and confirm the system is fully depressurized before removing the existing valve or breaking into the refrigerant circuit. Use proper brazing techniques and a nitrogen purge to prevent oxidation scale inside the valve body and tubing during installation. Verify coil voltage matches the control circuit before energizing the valve.
