The WHITE-RODGERS 1361-103 is a 1-inch sweat-connection hydronic zone valve designed for residential and light commercial hot water zoning systems. This 2-wire, normally closed valve operates on 24 volts and uses a motorized actuator to control flow in zoned hydronic heating circuits. The stainless steel valve body has a flow coefficient (Cv) of 37, a maximum working pressure of 50 psi, and a maximum temperature rating of 240 degrees F. The built-in end switch signals the boiler or system controls when the valve has reached the fully open position, enabling proper sequencing of heat calls. HVAC technicians and plumbers install this valve as part of multi-zone baseboard or radiant heating systems.
The 1361-103 is suited for residential and light commercial hydronic heating applications where zone-by-zone temperature control is required. The 2-wire wiring configuration simplifies low-voltage thermostat integration. The valve opens in approximately 45 seconds and closes in approximately 60 seconds, providing reliable cycling performance in zoned hot water distribution systems. Compatible with standard 24-volt zone control panels and thermostats used in forced hot water heating installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement zone valve for 1-inch sweat hydronic heating systems using 24-volt, 2-wire zone control wiring configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber. Power down the zone control panel and shut off the hydronic system before beginning work. The sweat connections require standard soldering tools and should be made before the actuator head is attached to avoid heat damage to the motor assembly. Verify low-voltage wiring connections comply with applicable local codes and the system control panel manufacturer guidelines before restoring power.
