The WHITE-RODGERS 032304 is a 211CA Series direct-acting, 2-way normally closed solenoid valve designed for hot water and steam service in industrial and commercial plumbing and HVAC applications. This valve opens when energized and closes automatically when power is removed, providing reliable on/off flow control. The 032304 features a 1/2 inch IPS port connection and a 5/8 inch orifice, making it well suited for lines carrying hot water or steam where a direct-acting design is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this type of valve in both new construction and retrofit service work.
The 032304 is part of the 211CA Series, which is the direct-acting variant of the 210CA/211CA family. The 210CA is pilot-operated while the 211CA is direct-acting, allowing it to open without a minimum pressure differential across the valve. This makes the 211CA Series appropriate for low-pressure or gravity-fed systems, steam heating lines, and hot water supply lines where pressure-differential-dependent operation would be unreliable. The valve is intended for use in air, water, and steam service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation solenoid valve for industrial and commercial hot water and steam piping systems requiring a direct-acting, normally closed 1/2 inch IPS 2-way valve.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code. Shut off the water or steam supply and relieve all system pressure before removing or installing the valve. Ensure the electrical supply is de-energized before making wiring connections, and verify that the supply voltage matches the coil rating before energizing. Do not exceed the rated pressure or temperature limits for the valve body and coil assembly.
