The WESTLAKE PIPE FITTINGS dwv-d706-020 is a 2-inch DWV PVC P-trap fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. It features hub-by-hub (H x H) end connections and is molded from PVC rated to a maximum temperature of 140 degrees F. This fitting meets ASTM D 3311, ASTM 1866, and ASTM 1784 standards and carries NSF 14 certification, confirming it meets requirements for plastic piping components in drain and waste applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this trap in residential and light commercial DWV systems.
This P-trap is suited for 2-inch DWV drain lines in residential and commercial plumbing applications. It is typically installed beneath sinks, lavatories, and other fixtures where a water seal is required to block sewer gases from entering occupied spaces. The hub-by-hub configuration accepts standard DWV pipe and fittings, making it compatible with common solvent-weld PVC DWV assemblies. It is appropriate for new construction, remodel work, and direct replacement of failed trap assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 2-inch PVC DWV drain, waste, and vent piping systems using solvent-weld hub connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and drain the line before removing an existing trap assembly. Use a PVC primer and solvent cement rated for DWV applications when making hub connections, and allow full cure time before returning the line to service. Do not exceed the 140 degrees F maximum temperature rating of the fitting.
