The WESTLAKE PIPE FITTINGS cpvc-12 ball valve is a half-inch CPVC ball valve with a socket-by-socket (solvent weld) end configuration. It provides full-bore flow shutoff in hot and cold water distribution systems, including residential and light commercial plumbing lines. The quarter-turn ball mechanism allows fast, positive isolation without tools. CPVC construction offers corrosion resistance and compatibility with chlorinated water systems where standard PVC or copper alternatives may be less suitable. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters are the typical installers for this type of valve.
This valve is suited for half-inch CPVC piping runs in residential plumbing, hydronic distribution, and potable water supply applications. The solvent weld socket ends require CPVC primer and cement for proper installation. It is commonly used at fixture isolation points, branch shutoffs, and equipment connections where a compact inline shutoff is needed in a CPVC piping system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for half-inch CPVC solvent weld piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into an existing system. Use CPVC-rated primer and solvent cement per the pipe and fitting manufacturer instructions, and allow full cure time before restoring system pressure. Do not use standard PVC cement in place of CPVC-rated cement.
