The WESTINGHOUSE 632515R is a normally open (NO) pressure switch designed for 2-stage gas furnace applications. It monitors combustion air pressure to verify proper inducer operation before allowing burner ignition, protecting against flue-gas backdraft and inducer failure. This switch carries dual set points of 0.73 inches WC and 0.43 inches WC, corresponding to the high-fire and low-fire stages of a 2-stage furnace. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians as part of routine pressure switch replacement or combustion safety system service.
This pressure switch is specified for use on the MGC2 2-stage condensing and non-condensing furnace platform. The dual set-point design supports proper sequencing across both firing stages, ensuring the control board receives correct pressure confirmation signals at each stage of operation. It is suited for residential and light-commercial gas furnace systems where 2-stage burner control is employed.
Designed for use on MGC2 2-Stage Condensing and Non-Condensing Furnaces as specified by the manufacturer.
Pressure switch replacement is performed by a qualified HVAC technician. Before servicing, shut off power to the furnace at the disconnect and allow the inducer to come to a complete stop. The switch connects to the inducer housing port via a rubber hose; inspect the hose and port for cracks or blockages before installing the new switch. Follow local mechanical codes and the furnace manufacturer service manual for torque and wiring procedures.
