The WEST PENN WIRE RJ456U-C6C-PR is a universal UTP keystone jack rated for both Cat5e and Cat6 structured cabling installations. It provides a terminated connection point for solid or stranded twisted-pair copper cable, terminating at an RJ-45 interface. The jack is finished in purple, a color commonly used in structured cabling systems to designate specific circuit types, VoIP lines, or zone identification schemes. Licensed electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians install this jack in wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount enclosures during commercial and residential network infrastructure projects.
This jack is suited for horizontal cabling runs in office buildouts, data closets, and structured wiring installations where Cat5e or Cat6 performance is required. The purple color finish supports color-coded port identification plans in multi-tenant, enterprise, or campus environments. It is sold individually, making it practical for single-port replacements as well as bulk installation projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation keystone jack for standard Cat5e and Cat6 UTP structured cabling systems using keystone-style wall plates and patch panels.
Low-voltage cabling technicians install this jack following TIA-568 punchdown standards for Cat5e or Cat6 termination. Terminate cable pairs consistently to either T568A or T568B wiring schemes throughout the installation to maintain continuity. Use a 110-style punchdown tool to seat conductors and trim the excess. Verify continuity and channel performance with a cable tester after termination.
