Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician or certified fire alarm technician in accordance with NEC Article 760 and all applicable local codes. De-energize the fire alarm control panel and notify the monitoring station before making any connections. Route plenum-rated cable only in listed plenum spaces or as otherwise permitted by the authority having jurisdiction. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the cable minimum bend radius and do not over-cinch cable ties, which can deform solid conductors.
