The WEST PENN WIRE 25226BWH1000 is a 14 AWG, 2-conductor stranded shielded security cable supplied in a 1000-foot reel with a white PLE (polyethylene) jacket. Designed for low-voltage security and alarm system wiring, this cable features stranded conductors for flexibility during installation and a foil or braid shield to reduce electromagnetic interference. Security integrators, alarm technicians, and low-voltage electricians use this cable for professional-grade signal and control runs in both commercial and residential installations.
This cable is suited for security system wiring applications including intrusion detection, access control panels, and alarm system signal runs. The 14 AWG conductor size supports longer runs while maintaining signal integrity. The white jacket finish is common in commercial drop-ceiling and concealed-wiring environments where a clean appearance is required. The 1000-foot continuous reel reduces splice points on large-scale jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard supply cable for low-voltage security, intrusion detection, and alarm panel wiring systems requiring 14 AWG 2-conductor shielded cable.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician in accordance with NEC Article 725 for Class 2 and Class 3 remote-control and signaling circuits. De-energize all connected equipment before terminating conductors. Maintain proper bend radius to avoid kinking the shield or conductors, and dress the drain wire to the shield termination point at the panel end per system design requirements.
