The WEST PENN WIRE 1100BK1000 is an RG-11 coaxial cable constructed with a 14 AWG bare copper-clad center conductor and a PVC outer jacket. RG-11 is a larger-diameter coaxial format used where signal loss must be minimized over longer cable runs. The BCC (bare copper-clad) construction provides reliable conductivity in demanding distribution environments. This cable is sold as a 1000-foot continuous run, making it suited for trunk-line installations in structured wiring, CATV distribution, and antenna feed applications. Installation is typically performed by low-voltage technicians, systems integrators, and licensed electricians working on signal distribution systems.
This cable is used in residential and commercial signal distribution applications where long cable runs demand a low-attenuation coaxial format. RG-11 is the standard choice for main trunk lines feeding splitters or distribution amplifiers in CATV, satellite, and off-air antenna systems. Its larger conductor diameter compared to RG-6 makes it appropriate for runs that would otherwise introduce unacceptable signal degradation at the point of connection.
Designed as a standard RG-11 coaxial cable for use with F-type connectors and compatible distribution hardware in CATV, antenna, and satellite signal systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for coaxial wiring. Disconnect or power down any active signal equipment before terminating cable ends. Use proper RG-11-rated compression or crimp connectors sized for this cable diameter, as RG-6 connectors are not compatible. Avoid sharp bends below the cable minimum bend radius to prevent center conductor displacement or shield damage.
