The WERNER 6106 is a 6-foot, single-sided fiberglass step ladder rated Type IA for a 300-pound load capacity. It is built for tradespeople who work near live electrical components, as the fiberglass rails are non-conductive. The HolsterTop integrates a Lock-In System with accessory sockets, tool holes, parts trays, paint tray slots, and a can hook, keeping tools and materials organized at the top of the ladder. Slip-resistant Traction-Tred steps are double riveted for durability, and oversized molded boots provide firm, slip-resistant footing while protecting the fiberglass rails. Heavy-duty internal spreaders and back-up plates on all top connectors add structural integrity throughout the unit.
This ladder is suited for residential and light commercial trade work including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing rough-in or service tasks at heights up to 6 feet. The non-conductive fiberglass construction makes it appropriate for electricians and HVAC technicians working on or near energized equipment. The rear section includes a full set of horizontals for added rigidity, and the aluminum bracing provides a stable working platform in jobsite conditions.
Designed as a standard 6-foot Type IA single-sided fiberglass step ladder suitable for general trade and construction applications where non-conductive, heavy-duty ladder performance is required.
Set up and inspection should be performed by the user prior to each use per OSHA and ANSI A14.5 guidelines. Open the ladder fully until the spreaders lock into position before climbing. Place on a firm, level surface and never exceed the 300-pound rated load capacity, which includes the user, tools, and materials. Ladders should be inspected for cracks, bent hardware, or damaged feet before each use and removed from service if defects are found.
