The WELLER WLTBUM2 is a butane-fueled torch designed for soldering applications in the field and on the bench. This tool-only unit accepts filtered WB1 or WB2 butane fuel and delivers up to 60 minutes of continuous runtime per fill. It is manually ignited, making it straightforward to operate without relying on an integrated piezo mechanism. Compact enough to fit in a tool bag, the WLTBUM2 is well-suited for electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electronics technicians who need a portable heat source for sweat soldering, heat-shrink work, or general torch tasks.
This torch is used in residential and light commercial service work where a portable, refillable butane heat source is needed. It performs well for sweat-fitting copper pipe, soldering electrical connections, and shrinking tubing in tight or remote locations where a bench-mounted iron is not practical. The unit ships as torch only and does not include butane fuel. Filtered WB1 or WB2 butane canisters are required for operation and must be sourced separately.
Designed for use with WELLER WB1 or WB2 filtered butane fuel. Torch only — no other fuel types specified as compatible by the manufacturer.
Fill with filtered butane only as specified — use of unfiltered or incompatible fuels may clog the fuel system. Allow the torch to cool completely before refilling or storing. Operate in well-ventilated areas and keep away from flammable materials during use. Applicable local and national codes for open-flame tools in occupied spaces should be followed.
