The WELDAS 44-7136 is a full-length leather welding bib apron constructed from side split cowhide in a lava brown finish. Measuring 36 inches in length and 24 inches wide across the front, it provides broad coverage for the torso and upper legs during welding, cutting, and grinding operations. All leather seams are double-locked stitched using high-strength 5-ply Tex 90 DuPont Kevlar thread, delivering superior seam integrity under repeated heat and spark exposure. Self-balancing shoulder straps distribute weight evenly across the wearer, reducing fatigue during extended shifts. This apron is a standard piece of personal protective equipment for professional welders and fabricators working in shop or field environments.
The 44-7136 is suited for MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-fuel welding applications where spatter, slag, and radiant heat are present. Its split cowhide leather construction offers reliable resistance to sparks and molten metal spatter. The apron is appropriate for use in fabrication shops, structural steel erection, pipe welding, and maintenance welding environments where full front-body protection is required by safety protocols.
Designed as an OEM-style personal protective equipment apron for professional welders and fabricators requiring full front leather bib coverage in industrial welding applications.
Fitting and adjustment of the apron should be performed before beginning work. Inspect all strap hardware and stitching prior to each use and replace the apron if seams are compromised or leather is severely cracked or charred. Leather PPE should be stored away from excessive heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent premature degradation. Follow applicable OSHA PPE standards and shop safety protocols when selecting and using protective apparel.
