The WELDAS 44-2020 is a standard leather welding bib apron designed to protect the upper torso and chest during welding, cutting, and grinding operations. Constructed with welted shoulder seams for added durability, this bib features multiple-snap adjustable cuffs and a roll-up collar with hook-and-loop closure. The open-back design promotes airflow, making it a practical choice for sustained work in high-heat environments. At 20 inches in length, it provides targeted front-of-body coverage without restricting movement. Licensed welders, fabricators, and metal workers reach for this bib when full-length apron coverage is unnecessary or too restrictive for the task at hand.
This bib apron is suited for MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-fuel welding applications in both shop and field settings. The adjustable snap cuffs allow a secure fit over welding sleeves or gloves, and the hook-and-loop collar closure keeps the bib positioned correctly during movement. It is sold individually and is intended to be worn as part of a layered PPE system alongside welding sleeves, gloves, and a welding helmet. Residential and commercial fabrication shops, pipe welders, and structural welding crews all represent typical users of this style of bib.
Designed as an OEM-style leather welding bib for use in standard welding PPE layering systems. Intended to be worn in conjunction with compatible welding sleeves, gloves, and other personal protective equipment. Bib is sold separately.
This bib apron is donned and adjusted by the welder prior to beginning work. Inspect the leather and all snap closures before each use for wear, cracking, or damage that could compromise protection. Follow the shop or job-site PPE requirements and applicable OSHA 1910.252 welding safety standards when selecting and combining protective garments. Do not use a damaged or compromised bib apron as a substitute for a full welding jacket or other required PPE.
