The WELDAS 33-6228L is a flame retardant welding spatter guard designed to protect the torso and upper legs during welding and cutting operations. Constructed from FR-7A flame retardant cotton sateen, it features an open back design that promotes airflow and reduces heat buildup during extended wear. The fabric meets Federal Test Method 191.5903 and retains its flame retardancy through up to 50 normal home washings or 25 commercial laundry cycles. Welders, fabricators, and ironworkers handling MIG, TIG, or stick processes will find this an essential front-body protection garment.
The 33-6228L is suited for both shop and field welding environments where spatter, sparks, and arc flash present a risk to the lower torso. The open back construction keeps the welder cooler in warm conditions or confined spaces. This spatter guard is sized Large and is sold as a standalone piece. Bibs are sold separately and are not included with this unit.
Designed as a front-body spatter guard for use in general welding and cutting applications. Compatible with standard welding bib configurations sold separately.
This garment is donned and adjusted by the welder before beginning any welding or cutting operation. Inspect the apron for holes, thinning fabric, or compromised fasteners before each use. Launder according to label instructions to preserve flame retardant properties. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach, as these may degrade FR performance over time.
