The WEISS INSTRUMENTS tl25-400-4l is a general-service pressure gauge designed for use on air, oil, water, gas, and other media that do not attack brass internals. The gauge features a 2.5-inch dial face and a 1/4-inch lower-mount process connection, making it a compact and straightforward choice for a wide range of light-industrial and mechanical service applications. With a pressure range up to 400 psi, it provides reliable local indication without the need for external power or signal conditioning. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical service professionals install this type of gauge as part of standard pressure monitoring setups on pumps, compressors, and distribution systems.
This gauge is suited for residential and light-commercial mechanical systems where direct-reading pressure indication is required. The lower-mount (LM) connection orients the process fitting straight down from the gauge body, which works well in panel-mounted or pipe-top installations. It is appropriate for use on air compressors, water supply lines, oil systems, and hydraulic service points where the medium does not chemically attack brass wetted parts. For steam service applications, a coil-type syphon should be installed upstream of the gauge to protect it from excessive temperature.
Designed as a general-service replacement or new-installation pressure gauge for systems handling air, oil, water, gas, or other media that do not attack brass wetted components.
This gauge is typically installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or mechanical contractors working under applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing an existing gauge or making a new connection. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service medium to the 1/4-inch male threads before installation. For steam service, install a coil-type syphon between the steam line and the gauge to prevent heat damage to internal components.
