The WEILER 98539 is a crimped wire end brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, deburring, and cleaning in metal fabrication, welding, and maintenance applications. Built with a 1 inch brush diameter and steel crimped wire filaments up to 0.010 inches in diameter, it delivers consistent abrasive action at speeds up to 22,000 RPM. The 6 mm steel shank mounts directly into standard rotary tools, die grinders, and drill chucks. Licensed tradespeople and metalworkers use this brush to reach into bores, holes, and confined cavities where flat or cup brushes cannot access.
This end brush is suited for use on ferrous metals in both shop and field settings. Typical applications include weld spatter removal, rust and scale stripping, and surface conditioning inside tubes, pipe ends, and drilled holes. The crimped wire construction provides flexibility and resilience during contact with irregular or contoured surfaces, making it a common choice for maintenance technicians and fabricators working on structural steel, pipe fittings, and machined components.
Designed as a standard end brush replacement for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and power drills accepting a 6 mm shank.
Installation is performed by tradespeople using standard rotary or pneumatic die grinders. Always confirm the tool's rated RPM meets or exceeds the brush's 22,000 RPM maximum before use — do not exceed the marked maximum operating speed. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet or chuck is properly tightened before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating wire brushes at speed.
