The WEILER 98536 is a crimped wire wheel brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, deburring, blending, and cleaning on metal workpieces. Measuring 8 inches in outside diameter with a 3/4 inch face width and a 2-1/16 inch trim length, this brush mounts via a standard arbor hole and runs at up to 6,000 RPM. The fill material is carbon steel wire with a filament diameter up to 0.0099 inches, making it well suited for removing rust, mill scale, weld spatter, and surface contaminants from ferrous materials. It weighs 1 pound and is sold individually.
This wheel brush is used in industrial maintenance, fabrication shops, and metal finishing operations. Typical applications include weld prep and post-weld cleanup, rust and scale removal on structural steel, and surface conditioning on pipe, plate, and bar stock. It mounts to bench grinders, angle grinders, or arbor-drive machines with compatible spindle sizes. A shank is not included, so the installer must confirm arbor compatibility before mounting.
Designed for use on bench grinders, angle grinders, and arbor-drive machines that accept a standard arbor hole mount. Confirm spindle arbor size and maximum RPM rating of the host machine before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive accessory safety standards. Power down and de-energize the host machine completely before mounting or removing the brush. Verify that the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum rating of this brush. Always use appropriate eye protection, face shield, and gloves during operation, and inspect the brush for damage before each use.
