The WEILER 98434 is a miniature crimped-wire cup brush designed for precision cleaning, deburring, and surface preparation in tight or recessed areas. It features a 5/8-inch brush diameter with 0.005-inch steel wire and a 1/4-inch trim length, delivering consistent, controlled abrasion on metal surfaces. The 1/8-inch shank mounts directly into a rotary tool, die grinder, or drill, making it a practical choice for HVAC techs, pipefitters, electricians, and fabricators who need a small-footprint brush for weld cleanup, rust removal, or port cleaning without disturbing surrounding material.
This cup brush is suited for light-duty rotary tool applications in both shop and field environments. Its compact 5/8-inch diameter makes it effective for internal bore cleaning, connector prep, and small weld seam work where a full-size cup brush cannot reach. The crimped-wire construction provides a degree of flexibility during contact, reducing the risk of gouging on softer base metals. It is sold individually and is a common consumable on service trucks and in fabrication shops.
Designed for use with rotary tools and die grinders equipped with a 1/8-inch collet or chuck. Verify that the tool's rated speed does not exceed 37,000 RPM before mounting.
Installation is performed by inserting the 1/8-inch shank into the collet or chuck of a compatible rotary tool or die grinder and tightening securely before operation. Always confirm the tool's no-load RPM rating is at or below the brush's 37,000 RPM maximum. Wear appropriate eye protection and a face shield when operating wire brushes at high speed. Inspect the wire fill for splayed or broken wires before each use and discard the brush if damage is found.
