The WEILER 98425 is a crimped carbon steel wheel brush designed for deburring, cleaning, and surface prep on metal and other hard materials. The 1-inch outside diameter and 1/8-inch shank mount directly into rotary tools, die grinders, and drill chucks, making it a compact option for tight-clearance work. Crimped wire construction provides consistent, moderate-pressure contact across irregular surfaces. The brush is rated to a maximum of 37,000 RPM, suiting it for high-speed rotary applications. Filament wire diameter runs up to 0.0099 inches, delivering medium-duty abrasion without aggressive material removal. Shank is included and requires no separate adapter.
This wheel brush is suited for light to medium surface conditioning tasks in fabrication shops, maintenance environments, and field service applications. Typical uses include weld spatter removal, rust and scale cleaning, and surface finishing on small workpieces or in restricted areas where larger brushes cannot reach. It is a standard tool for machinists, pipefitters, welders, and general maintenance technicians working with rotary hand tools or bench-mounted equipment.
Designed for use with rotary tools, die grinders, and drills accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Confirm that the tool's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds 37,000 RPM before use.
Installation is performed by trade technicians and general maintenance personnel using standard collet or chuck-style rotary tools. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from the power source before installing or removing the brush. Do not exceed the 37,000 RPM maximum speed rating. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI and OSHA safety standards for abrasive wheel use.
