The WEILER 98382 is a helical power tube brush designed for machine-driven cleaning, deburring, and surface conditioning inside tubes, pipes, and bores. Fitted with a 1/4-inch shank diameter for compatibility with standard drill chucks and rotary tool holders, this brush uses brass fill wire arranged in a double-spiral pattern. The double-spiral configuration delivers consistent contact pressure along the bore wall, making it well suited for light metal finishing, flux removal, and light oxide removal without aggressive material removal on softer base metals.
This brush is used in plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical service where internal tube or pipe surfaces need to be cleaned or prepped before brazing, soldering, or fitting assembly. The brass fill material is softer than steel, making it appropriate for use on copper, brass, and other non-ferrous tubing where steel bristles would risk surface damage or contamination. It is typically used by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics in both residential and light commercial applications.
Designed for use with rotary power tools and drills accepting a 1/4-inch round shank. Intended for cleaning and conditioning the interior of tubes and pipes in plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical service applications.
Install the 1/4-inch shank securely into the tool chuck before operating. Ensure the rotary tool is powered off and the chuck is fully tightened before beginning work. Always wear eye protection when operating rotary brushes, as wire bristles can shed under load. Follow applicable workplace safety standards when working with power-driven abrasive accessories.
