The WEILER 94844 is a knotted wire wheel brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, weld cleaning, slag removal, and deburring on metal workpieces. The 4-inch outside diameter wheel uses standard-twist knotted stainless steel wire, which delivers concentrated cleaning action and extended wire life compared to crimped-wire configurations. The threaded 5/8-11 arbor hole mounts directly to angle grinders and bench grinders equipped with matching spindle threads. With a maximum rated speed of 20,000 RPM, this brush suits high-speed power tool applications. It is installed by fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and maintenance mechanics working on stainless steel, aluminum, and other corrosion-sensitive base metals where carbon steel wire contamination must be avoided.
This wheel brush is suited for use on angle grinders in fabrication shops, field pipe work, and structural steel applications. The stainless steel fill material makes it appropriate for work on food-grade equipment, pharmaceutical piping, and any application where cross-contamination from carbon steel wire is a concern. The 1/2-inch face width and 7/8-inch trim length provide a focused contact area for seam and joint cleaning. Individual package quantity is 1.
Designed for use on angle grinders and bench grinders fitted with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Verify that the tool's no-load RPM rating does not exceed the 20,000 RPM maximum marked on this brush before installation.
Disconnect and de-energize the grinder before mounting or removing the brush. Thread the brush onto the 5/8-11 spindle by hand until fully seated, then confirm it is secure before applying power. Always inspect the wheel for damaged or broken wires before each use and replace if any are found. Eye protection, face shield, and appropriate PPE are required whenever operating wire wheel brushes at speed.
