The WEILER 94700 is a knotted cup brush designed for aggressive surface preparation on metal, welds, and castings. Built with stainless steel fill wire measuring 0.023 inches in diameter, it delivers consistent cutting action for rust removal, weld spatter cleanup, and surface conditioning. The threaded 5/8-11 arbor mounts directly to most angle grinders and die grinders. With a 4-inch brush diameter, 1.25-inch trim length, and a maximum operating speed of 10200 RPM, this brush handles heavy-duty blending and deburring tasks on stainless steel workpieces where carbon steel wire contamination must be avoided.
The WEILER 94700 is suited for use in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and field service environments where weld cleanup and surface prep are routine. The stainless steel wire construction makes it appropriate for work on stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous substrates where cross-contamination with ferrous particles is not acceptable. It is commonly used by pipefitters, welders, and maintenance mechanics working on process equipment, structural steel, and pressure vessels.
Designed for use with angle grinders and right-angle grinders fitted with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle, which is the standard arbor size for most 4-inch and 4.5-inch angle grinders.
Installation and use of wire cup brushes should be performed by trained personnel following ANSI B165.1 safety standards for power wire brushes. Always inspect the brush for damaged or missing wires before mounting, and never exceed the maximum RPM marked on the brush. Wear appropriate face and eye protection, as wire bristles can break free during use. Ensure the grinder is fully de-energized and unplugged before mounting or removing the brush.
