The WEILER 94666 is a knotted wheel brush designed for aggressive surface preparation on angle grinders and bench grinders. Built with carbon steel stringer bead twist wire, it delivers consistent cutting action for removing weld spatter, mill scale, rust, and heavy coatings from metal surfaces. The brush measures 6-7/8 inches in outside diameter with a 3/16-inch face width and a 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole for direct mounting to compatible spindles. Maximum rated speed is 9,000 RPM. The 1-1/8-inch trim length and 0.020-0.029-inch wire diameter range give this brush the rigidity needed for weld cleaning and surface conditioning work. Used by welders, fabricators, and maintenance technicians across industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty jobsite applications.
This wheel brush is suited for weld prep, rust removal, and scale removal on structural steel, pipe, plate, and fabricated assemblies. It is a common tool in weld shops, fabrication facilities, pipefitting operations, and general metal maintenance. The knotted wire construction performs well on uneven or contoured surfaces where aggressive stock removal is needed. The threaded 5/8-11 arbor mount allows fast installation on standard angle grinder spindles without additional hardware. No shank is included, and the brush is not encapsulated.
Designed for use on angle grinders and right-angle grinders with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Always verify that the tool RPM rating meets or does not exceed the 9,000 RPM maximum rated speed of this brush before mounting.
Installation and operation of wire wheel brushes should follow ANSI B165.1 safety standards and the tool manufacturer's guidelines. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing the brush. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including a face shield, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when operating wire brushes at speed. Do not exceed the 9,000 RPM maximum rated speed stamped on the brush.
