The WEILER 94663 is a knotted wheel brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, weld cleaning, and deburring on metal workpieces. It features a stringer bead twist wire knot configuration using stainless steel fill material, making it suitable for work on stainless steel substrates where carbon contamination must be avoided. The 6-inch outside diameter and 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole mount directly to compatible right-angle grinders and bench grinders. Rated at 12,500 RPM maximum, this brush delivers consistent cutting action on heavy scale, rust, and slag. It is typically installed and operated by welders, fabricators, and maintenance technicians.
This wheel brush is used in industrial and fabrication environments for weld seam blending, rust removal, and surface conditioning on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The stainless steel wire construction makes it a preferred choice when working on stainless steel or aluminum where iron contamination would cause downstream corrosion or finishing problems. The 1/2-inch face width and 1-3/8-inch trim length suit it for flat and contoured surface work where controlled, concentrated brushing action is needed.
Designed as a direct-mount replacement for 6-inch threaded arbor wheel brushes with a 5/8-11 thread size, compatible with right-angle grinders and bench grinders that accept this standard threaded arbor configuration.
Installation is performed by welders, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using a compatible grinder with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Shut down and de-energize the grinder completely before mounting or removing the brush. Always verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 12,500 RPM rated maximum before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including face shield and gloves, and confirm the brush is fully seated and tightened before starting the tool.
