The WEILER 94657 is a knotted wire wheel brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, weld cleaning, and deburring on metal workpieces. It mounts via a 3/8-24 threaded arbor hole, making it compatible with standard angle grinders and bench grinders that accept threaded spindle attachments. The brush features stainless steel stringer bead twist wire, which delivers consistent, high-impact scrubbing action without contaminating the base metal with carbon or iron deposits. Rated at 20,000 RPM, it handles demanding production environments and fits cleanly into fabrication, maintenance, and welding prep workflows. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this tool.
This wheel brush is suited for use on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals where carbon steel wire would cause cross-contamination concerns. Typical applications include removal of mill scale, weld spatter, rust, and surface oxides in both shop and field settings. The 4-inch outside diameter and 3/16-inch face width make it appropriate for detail work on weld beads, pipe joints, and structural connections. It is sold individually and is commonly used in light fabrication shops, HVAC duct work finishing, plumbing fitting preparation, and structural steel maintenance.
Designed for use with angle grinders and bench grinders equipped with a 3/8-24 threaded spindle. No shank is included with this brush.
Always power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before mounting or removing the wheel brush. Verify that the tool spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the 20,000 RPM maximum listed on this brush before operation. Eye protection, face shield, and appropriate gloves are required during use per general abrasive tool safety practices. Do not exceed the rated RPM, and inspect the brush for wire fatigue or damage before each use.
