The WEILER 93666 is a 3-inch crimped wire wheel brush designed for surface preparation, deburring, cleaning, and finishing on metal and other hard materials. The brush uses stainless steel fill wire in the 0.010 to 0.019 inch diameter range, making it well suited for applications where carbon steel wire could cause contamination. It mounts via an arbor hole and is rated to a maximum of 20,000 RPM, giving it a wide range of compatibility with bench grinders, die grinders, and rotary tools. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary users of this type of brush.
This wheel brush is used in light industrial and shop maintenance settings for weld cleaning, rust removal, paint stripping, and scale removal on stainless steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The crimped wire configuration provides a flexible, conforming action that is effective on irregular or contoured surfaces. With a 5/8-inch face width and 1-inch trim length, it delivers consistent contact across a moderate working area. It is appropriate for both production and maintenance applications.
Designed as an arbor-hole-mount wheel brush compatible with bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and rotary power tools that accept a 1/2-inch arbor and operate within the 20,000 RPM maximum speed rating.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with rotating abrasive and wire brush tooling. Power down and lock out the tool before mounting or removing the brush. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 20,000 RPM maximum rating marked on the brush. A separate arbor or mandrel is required — the brush does not include a shank. Always use appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA standards for power brush safety.
