The WEILER 93657 is a crimped wire cup brush designed for surface preparation, weld cleaning, and rust or scale removal on metal workpieces. It uses 0.02-inch diameter steel fill wire in a crimped configuration, which provides a flexible, consistent brushing action across irregular or flat surfaces. The brush measures 6 inches in diameter with a 1-1/4-inch trim length, and it fits angle grinders and other compatible power tools via a standard 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole. An internal nut is included to secure the arbor connection. Maximum rated speed is 6,600 RPM. Metalworkers, fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this brush type.
This cup brush is suited for industrial and commercial metalworking applications including weld spatter removal, surface conditioning, deburring, and preparation of steel surfaces before coating or inspection. The crimped wire construction makes it appropriate for lighter-duty passes where controlled material removal is needed. It is sold individually and is compatible with angle grinders that accept a 5/8-11 threaded spindle, which is the standard configuration found on most 4-1/2-inch to 7-inch angle grinders used in fabrication and field service work.
Designed for use with angle grinders and rotary power tools equipped with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Confirm the tool's no-load RPM rating does not exceed 6,600 RPM before mounting.
Disconnect and de-energize the power tool before mounting or removing the cup brush. Thread the brush onto the 5/8-11 arbor spindle and secure using the included internal nut, following the tool manufacturer's mounting instructions. Always verify the tool's rated no-load speed is at or below 6,600 RPM before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection when operating wire brushes at speed.
