The WEILER 93631 is a 6-inch diameter crimped wire wheel brush designed for use with bench grinders, angle grinders, and arbor-mounted power tools. It mounts via a standard arbor hole measuring 5/8 inches and is rated to a maximum of 6,000 RPM. The fill material is carbon steel wire, with a filament diameter in the 0.010 to 0.019 inch range, making it well suited for rust removal, weld spatter cleanup, surface prep, and deburring on metal workpieces. The face width is 7/8 inches and the trim length is 1-1/8 inches. This brush is a standard working tool for metal fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians who need consistent wire contact across a wide work surface.
This wheel brush fits arbor-hole-mount setups common in metal fabrication shops, welding stations, and general industrial maintenance environments. It is used on ferrous metals for pre-weld surface cleaning, post-weld spatter removal, rust stripping, and scale removal. The crimped wire configuration provides a more flexible, even contact pattern compared to knotted wire, making it appropriate for general surface conditioning rather than aggressive stock removal. No shank is included, and the brush is not encapsulated, so proper arbor hardware must be supplied by the installer.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use wire wheel brush for arbor-hole-mount bench grinders and power tools accepting a 5/8-inch arbor hole and operating at or below 6,000 RPM.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with abrasive wheel safety and ANSI B11 or equivalent standards. Always power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before mounting or removing a wheel brush. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum rating of this brush before operation. Eye protection and appropriate PPE must be worn during use, as wire fill material can shed filaments at speed.
