The WEILER 93616 is a 6-inch diameter crimped wire wheel brush designed for deburring, cleaning, and surface preparation on metal workpieces. It mounts via an arbor hole and spins at a maximum rated speed of 6,000 RPM. The brush is filled with carbon steel wire in the 0.010 to 0.019 inch diameter range, delivering consistent scratch patterns and aggressive material removal on ferrous surfaces. With a 3/4-inch face width and a 1-7/16-inch trim length, this wheel fits standard bench grinders and angle grinders used in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and industrial service environments. No shank is included; a separate arbor is required for mounting.
This wheel brush is suited for use on metal surfaces where scale, rust, weld spatter, paint, and light burrs need to be removed quickly. It is a common tool in welding shops, pipe fabrication, structural steel work, and general maintenance environments. The crimped wire construction provides more flex than knotted wire, making it appropriate for light-to-medium surface work where a consistent finish is required rather than maximum aggressive action.
Designed as an arbor-hole-mount wheel brush for standard bench grinders and angle grinders that accept a compatible arbor size. Verify that your machine arbor matches the brush hole diameter before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Always power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm that the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum rating marked on this brush — operating above the rated speed is a safety hazard. Wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection whenever operating wire wheel brushes, in accordance with ANSI B11 and applicable shop safety standards.
