The WEILER 93614 is a 4-inch crimped wire wheel brush designed for surface preparation, deburring, and cleaning on metal and fabricated materials. Fitted with a 5/8-11 threaded arbor mount, it attaches directly to angle grinders and bench grinders without a separate shank. The fill material is carbon steel wire in the 0.0100-0.0199 inch filament diameter range, and the brush is rated to a maximum of 14,000 RPM. With a face width of 0.5 inches and a trim length of 0.875 inches, it delivers focused contact pressure for weld cleaning, rust removal, and scale stripping. Licensed metalworking trades and fabricators are the primary users.
This wheel brush is suited for light to medium-duty surface work on ferrous metals in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and field service applications. The crimped wire configuration produces moderate aggressiveness and good conformability to irregular surfaces. It is commonly used on angle grinders during weld prep or post-weld cleanup and on bench grinders for deburring cut stock. No shank is included, so a compatible threaded spindle or grinder with a 5/8-11 arbor is required at installation.
Designed for use on angle grinders and bench grinders equipped with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle arbor. Verify that the tool's rated no-load RPM does not exceed the 14,000 RPM maximum speed of this brush before installation.
Installation and operation of wire wheel brushes should be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B165.1 safety guidelines for power wire brushes. Always power down and de-energize the grinder before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm that the grinder guard is in place and that all bystanders are clear of the plane of rotation before starting the tool. Do not exceed the 14,000 RPM maximum speed rating marked on the brush.
