The WEILER 83110 is a crimped-fill wheel brush designed for surface finishing, deburring, and cleaning applications across metal fabrication, maintenance, and industrial trades. The brush uses 320-grit silicon carbide filaments encased in a nylon fill, delivering consistent abrasive action without the aggressive material removal of wire brushes. At 8 inches in outside diameter with a 1-inch face width and a 2-1/4-inch trim length, it fits standard arbor-mount setups and runs at a maximum of 3,600 RPM. Metalworkers, machinists, and maintenance technicians reach for this brush when a controlled, finish-oriented pass is needed on parts that require light abrasion rather than heavy stock removal.
This wheel brush suits arbor-mounted bench grinders and pedestal grinders commonly found in fabrication shops, tool rooms, and MRO facilities. The nylon fill with silicon carbide abrasive makes it well suited for aluminum, composites, plastics, and softer metals where steel wire would cause contamination or surface damage. It is also used for edge blending and pre-finish cleaning on parts moving through a production line. The crimped filament construction allows the tips to conform to irregular surfaces, improving contact consistency during use.
Designed for arbor-hole mounting on standard bench grinders and pedestal grinder spindles accepting an 8-inch diameter wheel brush with a 2-inch arbor hole.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or maintenance technician familiar with abrasive wheel mounting procedures. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3,600 RPM maximum rating marked on the brush before operating. Follow ANSI B11 and applicable shop safety standards for abrasive wheel installation and guarding.
