The WEILER 56015 is a Type 1 (01/41) aluminum oxide cut-off wheel designed for use with rotary cut-off tools in metal fabrication and maintenance applications. It measures 2 inches in diameter with a 1/16 inch thickness and a 1/4 inch arbor hole. The wheel is reinforced and bonded with a resinoid bond, rated to a maximum of 30000 RPM. At 36 grit with a hardness code of T, it delivers aggressive cutting action on steel. Weighing approximately 0.02 pounds, it is a lightweight consumable suited for tight-access cutting tasks in the field or shop.
This cut-off wheel is intended for cutting steel in both shop and field environments. Its compact 2 inch diameter makes it well suited for use with handheld pneumatic or electric cut-off tools where access is limited. Typical applications include cutting bolts, rods, sheet metal, and small structural steel pieces. It is commonly used by fabricators, maintenance mechanics, pipefitters, and ironworkers who need a reliable small-diameter abrasive wheel for controlled, precise cuts.
Designed for use with rotary cut-off tools that accept a 1/4 inch arbor and support wheels rated at 30000 RPM or higher. Intended application material is steel per manufacturer specification A36T.
Installation and replacement of cut-off wheels should be performed by a qualified technician following ANSI B7.1 safe use standards for abrasive wheels. Always verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 30000 RPM wheel rating before mounting. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never operate a damaged wheel. Ensure the tool guard is in place and wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection during operation.
