The WEILER 51304 is a Type 27 angled flap disc designed for aggressive material removal on steel and stainless steel. Part of the Tiger Angled series, it features a zirconia alumina abrasive at 60 grit, making it well-suited for coarse stock removal, weld blending, and surface conditioning. The phenolic backing provides rigid support during high-load grinding passes. The disc mounts via a 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole and is rated to 13,000 RPM. At 4.5 inches in diameter and 0.28 pounds, it fits standard 4.5-inch angle grinders used daily in fabrication, maintenance, and field repair work.
This disc is used in light fabrication shops, structural steel work, pipe fitting, and maintenance applications where both mild steel and stainless steel surfaces require grinding or blending. The Type 27 flat profile keeps the disc parallel to the workpiece, making it effective for surface work and inside corners. The zirconia alumina grain self-sharpens during use, maintaining cut rate over the life of the disc. It is a single-piece packaged unit, sold individually, suited for professionals who stock specific grit ranges by job.
Designed for use on standard 4.5-inch angle grinders with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Suitable for material applications on steels and stainless steel.
Mounting and disc changes should be performed with the grinder unplugged or the battery removed. Verify the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 13,000 RPM disc rating before use. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield and grinding gloves. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and do not use a damaged disc.
