The WEILER 51216 is a Type 29 flap disc engineered for aggressive material removal on metal surfaces. Part of the Tiger X series, it features a ceramic zirconia alumina blend abrasive cloth bonded to a phenolic backing. The conical Type 29 profile maintains consistent abrasive contact during edge work and surface blending, making it a standard choice for welders, fabricators, and metal finishing tradespeople. At 40 grit coarse grade and rated to 8,600 RPM, this disc delivers fast stock removal while holding up to demanding production use on steel and stainless steel applications.
This disc is suited for use on 7-inch angle grinders in industrial and fabrication settings, both commercial and job-site environments. Primary applications include weld removal, beveling, and edge deburring on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The 7/8 inch arbor hole fits standard angle grinder spindles. The coarse 40-grit rating makes it most effective where rapid material removal is the priority rather than fine finishing.
Designed for use with 7-inch angle grinders equipped with a 7/8 inch arbor. Suitable for material removal, beveling, and deburring on steel and stainless steel. Verify that the grinder RPM rating meets or exceeds the 8,600 RPM maximum disc speed before use.
Disc installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified operator following the grinder manufacturer's mounting instructions and ANSI B7.1 safety guidelines. Always confirm the grinder is disconnected from power and the disc guard is properly in place before mounting. Do not exceed the maximum rated speed of 8,600 RPM. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc showing cracks, gouges, or delamination.
