The WEILER 50141 is a Type 27 ceramic flap disc from the Tiger Ceramic HD series, designed for aggressive material removal and long service life on angle grinders. Built with a high-density coated ceramic abrasive at 80 grit, this disc delivers consistent cut rates on hard metals and heat-sensitive alloys where conventional alumina discs fall short. The phenolic backing plate provides rigidity and stability under load. It fits a 5/8 inches-11 threaded arbor and runs at a maximum operating speed of 8,600 RPM. Licensed tradespeople performing weld blending, surface conditioning, and stock removal on structural steel, stainless, and hard alloys rely on this disc for sustained performance through demanding work cycles.
The WEILER 50141 is suited for heavy-duty grinding applications in fabrication shops, industrial maintenance, and field ironwork. The Type 27 flat profile makes it well matched for flat surface work and inside corners where a raised-hub disc would be cumbersome. High-density flap construction extends disc life and maintains an aggressive cut from first use through the final flap. The 80 grit medium grade balances material removal rate with surface finish, making it practical across weld blending, rust removal, and edge chamfering tasks.
Designed as a direct-mount replacement or standard-use flap disc for 7-inch angle grinders equipped with a 5/8 inches-11 threaded spindle.
Flap disc mounting and use should be performed by trained personnel following ANSI B7.1 and applicable workplace safety standards. Always confirm the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum operating speed of 8,600 RPM before mounting. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and never operate a cracked or delaminated disc. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during grinding operations.
