The WEILER 31124 is a 4-inch crimped wheel brush designed for surface conditioning, deburring, and finishing on bench or pedestal grinders and straight grinders. It uses nylon filaments infused with 120-grit silicon carbide abrasive, delivering a consistent scratch pattern and controlled material removal on metal, wood, and composite surfaces. The arbor-hole mount fits standard grinder spindles without requiring an additional shank. Rated at a maximum of 6,000 RPM, this brush is suited for professional shop use where controlled abrasive action is needed on contoured or flat workpieces.
This wheel brush is intended for use on bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and straight grinders in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and trade workshops. It is well suited for deburring machined parts, light surface blending, cleaning weld scale, and preparing surfaces before coating or finishing. The 120-grit silicon carbide fill provides a medium-fine cut rate appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as plastics and composites. It is typically installed and operated by machinists, metal fabricators, and maintenance technicians.
Designed for use on bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and straight grinders equipped with a standard arbor-hole mounting system. Verify that the grinder spindle speed does not exceed 6,000 RPM before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with abrasive wheel safety per ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Always power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm the machine spindle speed rating does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum marked on this brush. Inspect the filaments and arbor bore for damage before each use and never operate a damaged or out-of-round brush.
