The WEILER 17543 is a 2-inch diameter wheel brush designed for light deburring, surface conditioning, and finishing work on metal and other hard materials. The brush uses crimped nylon filaments impregnated with 320-grit silicon carbide abrasive, delivering a consistent scratch pattern without the aggressive material removal of wire-fill brushes. It mounts via a standard arbor hole and is rated to 10,000 RPM. The face width is 3/8 inches and the trim length is 1/2 inch, making it well suited for detail work and confined areas. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and fabrication professionals typically use this brush in bench grinders, drill presses, or rotary tools.
This wheel brush fits applications requiring controlled surface finishing rather than aggressive stock removal. The nylon-plus-abrasive construction is preferred when operators need to blend surfaces, remove light burrs, or condition edges without altering part geometry. It is commonly used in light manufacturing, maintenance shops, and metal fabrication environments where consistent finish quality matters.
Designed as an arbor-hole-mount wheel brush compatible with bench grinders, drill press arbors, and rotary machine spindles that accept standard arbor-mounted accessories up to 10,000 RPM.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting the brush on the arbor. Confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 10,000 RPM maximum rating before operation. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow all applicable ANSI B11 machine guarding guidelines when operating abrasive wheel accessories.
