The WEILER 16461 is a 1-inch diameter wheel brush designed for aggressive surface conditioning, deburring, and cleaning on metal workpieces. It uses crimped stainless steel wire fill, which flexes under load to maintain consistent contact across irregular surfaces. The arbor hole mount fits standard mandrels used with die grinders, drills, and right-angle die grinders. With a maximum rated speed of 20,000 RPM, it handles high-speed rotary tool applications without sacrificing brush integrity. The 3/16-inch face width and 1/4-inch trim length make it well-suited for tight-access work where a larger brush would not fit. No shank is included; a compatible mandrel is required for installation.
This wheel brush is used in light industrial, fabrication, and maintenance applications where surface prep or weld cleanup is needed in confined areas. Compatible tools include die grinders, standard drills, and right-angle die grinders. The stainless steel wire construction resists corrosion and is appropriate for use on stainless steel base materials where carbon steel wire contamination must be avoided. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order of 10 units.
Designed for use with die grinders, drills, and right-angle die grinders equipped with a compatible arbor mandrel. Confirm mandrel size matches the arbor hole before installation.
Installation is performed by tradespeople and machinists using standard rotary tool mandrels. Disconnect power to the tool and confirm the mandrel is properly torqued before operation. Always verify the tool's rated speed does not exceed the brush's 20,000 RPM maximum. Wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating wire wheel brushes at speed.
