The WEILER 10156 is a nylon-fill end brush designed for targeted surface finishing, deburring, and cleaning on metal and composite workpieces. The brush carries a 1-inch diameter working face with crimped nylon filaments loaded with 180-grit silicon carbide abrasive, delivering a very fine cut on contoured or recessed surfaces. A 6 mm shank mounts directly into a drill press, die grinder, or CNC spindle. Maximum rated speed is 10,000 RPM. Overall assembled length is 2.75 inches with a 0.75-inch shank. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die techs typically reach for this brush when uniform surface prep is needed in bores, pockets, or tight geometries.
This end brush suits light-duty finishing passes in production and maintenance environments. It performs well on interior bore surfaces, weld spatter cleanup, and surface conditioning in areas too confined for flap wheels or grinding discs. The silicon carbide abrasive makes it appropriate for non-ferrous metals, composites, and plastics where a very fine, consistent finish is the target. Its targeted brushing action concentrates filament contact at the tip, making it effective in spot applications where brush-to-workpiece contact must be controlled.
Designed for use in any die grinder, drill press, or rotating spindle accepting a 6 mm shank; suitable for non-ferrous metals, composites, and plastics requiring very fine surface conditioning.
Installation is performed by machinists or finishing technicians using standard collet or chuck tooling. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 10,000 RPM rating before operation. Secure the shank fully in the collet and verify runout before engaging the workpiece. Always wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating rotary brushes.
