The WEILER 10040 is a crimped wire end brush designed for surface preparation, deburring, and cleaning applications on steel workpieces. The brush features a 2-3/4 inch diameter fill area with steel crimped wire and comes pre-flared to match the working angle, reducing setup time and improving contact consistency. A 6 mm diameter shank mounts directly into rotary tools, die grinders, or drill presses. Rated to 16,000 RPM, this brush is suited for high-speed finishing operations where wire flexibility and consistent coverage are required. It is sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 2.
The WEILER 10040 is used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and field service settings where controlled wire brushing on steel surfaces is needed. Typical applications include weld prep and post-weld cleanup, rust and scale removal, and edge blending on ferrous components. The pre-flared wire fill conforms to contoured or recessed surfaces, making it practical for port work, pipe interiors, and irregular profiles that flat wheel brushes cannot reach effectively.
Designed for use with rotary tools, die grinders, and drill presses accepting a 6 mm shank. Intended for material removal and surface conditioning on steel workpieces.
Installation is performed by trade professionals or experienced fabricators using standard rotary tool or die grinder equipment. Ensure the tool is powered off and unplugged before inserting or removing the shank from the chuck. Do not exceed the 16,000 RPM maximum speed rating, and confirm the host tool's rated speed does not exceed this value before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves, as wire bristles can shed during use.
